R&D Laboratory: Bridging Applied Science and Industrial Scaling
The research and development (R& D) laboratory of LLC “Skarb” is the starting point for every engineering project we deliver. We believe that robust industrial processes can only be built on a foundation of rigorous, reproducible laboratory testing.
Our laboratory specializes in mineralogical analysis, chemical enrichment, and semi-industrial verification of technology flowsheets. We bridge the gap between small-scale lab experiments and full-scale plant operation, significantly reducing investment risks for our clients.
Our Core Laboratory Capabilities

1. Sample Preparation & Mineralogical Analysis
- Crushing and Grinding: Complete sizing and preparation of raw materials, ensuring representative samples for subsequent testing.
- Phase and Chemical Identification: Precise analysis of ore composition, assessing the presence of target components such as iron Fe, manganese Mn, and associated elements.

2. Gravity & Magnetic Separation
- Gravity Concentration: Testing separation using laboratory shaking tables, spirals, and heavy media to determine feasibility for low-cost mineral recovery.
- Magnetic Separation: Evaluation of raw materials under dry and wet magnetic fields (both low-intensity and high-intensity) to extract magnetic iron oxides and manganese minerals.

3. Flotation & Hydrometallurgical Processing
- Flotation Testing: Fine-tuning reagent regimes, pulp density, and pH levels in laboratory flotation cells to recover fine mineral particles.
- Chemical Leaching & Enrichment: Developed hydrometallurgical routes for complex ores and industrial waste, including the purification of industrial phosphogypsum CaSO4 and extraction of rare earth elements.

4. Powder Metallurgy, Ferrites & Battery Materials
- Ferrite Production Technology: Synthesis and testing of magnetic materials and high-purity metal powders.
- Battery-Grade Raw Materials: Evaluating chemical processing schemes to produce ultra-pure manganese and lithium-containing precursors for the energy storage market.
Semi-Industrial (Pilot) Testing: Eliminating Investment Risks
Before designing a commercial processing plant, it is vital to test the flowsheet at a larger scale. Our laboratory features semi-industrial pilot installations that allow us to process continuous samples from 100\ kg up to several tons.
Continuous Flow Modeling
We simulate complete industrial circuits (crushing — grinding — separation — dewatering) to verify water balance and reagent accumulation
Bulk Sample Production
We generate tons of finished concentrate for further metallurgical testing by your prospective buyers
Guaranteed Parameters
Based on pilot runs, we provide a Process Guarantee for the commercial plant’s recovery rates and product grade.
